A citizen initiative to reclaim transaction fees to fund a participative budget in our city.

This is a work in progress. You can come and experiment the prototype of Brussels PAY every first Wednesday of the month during “Crypto Wednesday” organized by DAO.brussels or during the open days at the Commons Hub Brussels (rsvp here).

Try it!

Download the Citizen Wallet (iOS, Android) and join the “Brussels PAY” community. You can top up your account with bancontact or a credit card (or Apple Pay or Google Pay).

Optional: set a profile with a picture, name and username to make it easier for people to send you money

Now you can start sending and receiving money, no transaction fee.

We will introduce transaction fees for business accounts that will feed the participatory budget.

All transactions can be monitored in open data through the live interface or directly on the blockchain.

Here is a demo using the NFC wallet (a keychain or wristband that you can use instead of a smartphone to receive and send the local currency)
